Day Three From Amsterdam to Belgium

After seeing the highlights of Amsterdam, we took to the road via rental car. Note: windmill in the background.

In just over two hours we pulled into Brussels. Finding a parking spot was not quite as easy as our host had said it would be but we settled in.

 

 

We went out seeking the old parts of Brussels and weren't disappointed.

 

 

Yes, the little boy is still peeing (Manneken Pis).

Day 2 in Amsterdam

It's very convenient to get around Amsterdam with a GVB transportation pass for the Metro, trams, and buses.

We took the #53 Metro to the #10 tram to the Dappermarkt in Amsterdam:

Road Trip 2014

On the road again...

First stop, Amsterdam. It is an easy train trip into Central Station from the airport and then a quick Metro ride to the guesthouse in south Amsterdam.

The guesthouse has a wonderful garden.

  

 

Amsterdam is an amazing mix of old and new...

 

and delicious and adventuresome.

Back at the guesthouse (beehive on the roof)...and animals in the garden

And a walk around the neighborhood...
