Camaguay, Friday, 4/26

We were advised by our host to take a government peso bus instead of the truck bus. The government peso bus is a step below the CUC bus but much cheaper. We went to the bus station the night before were told that if we show up early in the morning we could probably get on even though normally passengers have to show documentation that they are citizens.

We woke up at 4:30 and got to the bus station and were told to wait. But, we weren't able to get on as we don't have documentation. So, we went back to the truck bus station. So, for 20 pesos each (less than a $1) we hopped on a truck headed to Camaguay.

The best-looking guy on the bus told Alisa that he lived on the way to the home we were heading to. It was a long walk. We ended up staying at his friend's casa particular which was closer to the center of town than the one that we had been told about.

Camaguay is famous for its rain pots.
